Dog's Name: Buddy Boy (BUD0624SOPMD)
Estimated Breed: Labrador Retriever MIX
Approximate Age: 1 year
Approximate Weight: 55 lbs
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi, I'm Buddy Boy! I haven't had such a great life so far, as I was abandoned in rural Georgia, but things are looking up for me since I was rescued by K-9 Lifesavers. I'm a super cute and friendly guy! I love meeting new people and making friends, both two-legged and four-legged. I'm also good with introductions as I know the commands sit and shake. Although I get along great with dogs, I'm not a fan of felines or other livestock. You should know, my loyalty is second to none, and once we're friends, we're friends for life. Are you ready to have fun together? I can't wait to meet my forever family and start making memories. Submit an application today so I can find my loving home soon!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
