Ruka has really come out of her shell. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle and she absolutely adores every dog she meets. She has a little spark about her that brings out her spunky personality. She’s very calm and quiet but when she plays, she’s a bit rambunctious she will not bring you back her toys but she does enjoy you throwing them🤣 she’s not even 10 pounds and already almost full grown and eagerly awaiting her very patient and very kind forever home. She is approved for same-day adoption so why wait fall in love with your new best friend today!
Hello, my name is Ruka I was a puppy on death row at a high kill humane society in Northern California. Without even giving me a chance they labeled me rescue only and kept me hidden from the public. When I came back positive for gerardia, instead of treating me, they decided they were gonna keep me in the back until I was ready to be euthanized. I was alone with other petrified dogs just waiting to go through a door and never come back out, I could smell death on the other side of the doors and I couldn’t understand anything that was happening, except 1 by 1 I’d see someone come take a dog and I’d never see them again, but thankfully, my rescuer stepped in and took me after seeing how absolutely defeated I was in that kennel waiting for my inevitable end. After arriving at the rescue, I didn’t understand that I was safe. I felt safer at the rescue but the trauma I experienced at the shelter has left a very deep emotional scar and as young as I am I still need time to trust people and to know that I will be safe with them. I desire love and affection I just get really scared thinking that I’ll end up back at the shelter so I would thrive better and open up quicker in a more calm environment with someone who can be patient with me, someone Who understands the psychological trauma I have suffered and is willing to give me the time I need to decompress and open up🥺 if you think that sounds like you or your family, please reach out to my rescuer (Her information is listed directly above my story) and schedule a time to meet with me. I am approved for same day adoption so if you fall in love with me after meeting me, I can go home with you. I promise if you give me a little time, you’ll see exactly what a sweet companion I can be. ❤️
