Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Taylor is a cute and chubby tortoiseshell kitty. She came to us at two months old. As
Taylor was growing, we noticed she was consuming a lot of food. Her abdomen seemed to be extended.
We had her wormed and started on her series of vaccinations. We were worried that she had a tumor in her tummy and also noticed a swivel in her walk.
With all these issues, we had her checked for excess fluid in her stomach, numerous x-rays, exams, and
blood work. No tumor was found in her abdomen and her spay showed nothing unusual. On her swivel walk, the 3 view x-rays did show Taylor's pelvis is too
narrow, causing an unusual angle to the coxofemoral joints. The pelvis bones are too acute and too upright. Taylor has a congenital deformity. She is in no pain and Dr. Appling at Three Trails felt that this disability should not affect her health. Due to her pelvis being narrow and upright, Taylor has difficulty cleaning herself. We do take her to get sanitary shaves at the
vets periodically. We also noticed she was straining to urinate. A urinalysis was done and crystals were found
in her urine. She is now on Royal Canin Urinary SO food which has helped her and she enjoys her new food. Taylor has been through a lot in her short life
and is definitely a special kitty. We are committed to her for the rest of her life, but it would be wonderful if there is a caring and patient home out there to love.
