Baby is another sad dog left orphaned when her owner died and had no plans for what would happen to his pets. Baby had a fursister but sadly she was given away before we could get her into rescue. Baby is one of the lucky ones. She made her way to rescue and is now in a loving foster home. Baby is gentle and slow-paced. She has entered her senior years and just wants a safe place to spend her days napping in the sun and going for a short stroll. Being an older gal, she has a few health items that need monitored. She has a condition common in her breed called "dry eye" in which she will need daily eye drops to her eyes moisturized. Baby likely never had her teeth cleaned her entire life before coming to rescue. They were so decayed many of them literally fell out into our hands. She had a dental procedure to remove decayed and abscessed teeth & roots, and clean those that were still viable, which isn't many. She will need to remain on a soft diet. Baby also had a mastectomy along one of her mammary chains which was sent to pathology and determined not to be malignant, which we were thrilled about! Her ears were infected and treated as well. This poor girl has suffered and had been neglected for far too long. It's time she now enjoy all the good things life has instore for her. We are searching for a home that is ready, willing and able to give her the BEST life possible!!!

Ideal home for Baby will be a calm, adult-only home. No rambunctious kids or pets that would overpower her. Must have small breed experience with verifiable excellent veterinary reference. Ability to provide for her medical needs as described above.

This girl is a diamond in the rough, but still so precious & beautiful.

Baby is a female Pekingese (maybe a mix with Tibetan Spaniel) who was was born approximately 5-26-12 and weighs15 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $300 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
