Hold onto your hearts! Brock is available for adoption and ready to warm your heart and home! We may never know this sweetheart’s past (Lost? Dumped? Abandoned?) but what we do know is that he is incredibly thankful for a warm bed, lots of human love, and daily meals safe indoors! His loving personality says it all! This big hunky FIV + 5yr old (?) male tabby, Brock, rescued as a stray in March from a large cat colony, was clearly out of place and struggling to survive outdoors. Emaciated and sick, Brock was fortunate to find a foster to nurse him back to health, and now he has so much love to give back! Brock enjoys the simple pleasures of life, soaking up any affection he can get his paws on from his doting humans, and would be happy with feline companionship as well. He currently gets along very well with other cats in a large foster room. While his sad past is unknown, his future is bright! Please consider opening your home and heart to this sweet, lovable guy!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

The first step is to complete an Application. Start at the Adoption page on our website - https://www.straycatblues.org/adoption-process

2.
Approve Application

You will be assigned an Adoption Representative who will review your application and check your vet and personal references.

3.
Meet the Pet

Once approved, we will set up a meet and greet for you with the cat(s) you are interested in.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Your Adoption Representative will go over paperwork with you. You will sign and then pay the Adoption Fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

This is the best part! Take your new cat home!

Additional adoption info

During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.

We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.

Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.

All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.

You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.

Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
