My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Calypso aka little Extra. My foster mom calls me that because I have extra toe beans in my front paws, back paws and I'm extra cute. I was young when I gave birth to my babies. A nice lady picked me up and my babies and took me to her home. She noticed I only had one eye and although she tried to get information on it she was unable to do so. She took me to the vets with my babies and they gave us the thumbs up for health. We are unsure what caused it but I am not pain. I am very small cat and only weight around 5 pounds. My foster mom says animals only grow until they hit perfection so I guess I achieved it fairly quickly. I am a huge kitty at heart. I love to bat around my catnip and mice toys and sleep in my cat tree and chirp at the birds. I am a great hunger and will chase after flies. I am also very affectionate and will follow my mom around the house. When she sits or lays down I am the first there with her. I even bring her springy toys as gifts. I am very motherly too and will groom all the dogs and cats in the home. I usually walk around with a plushie in my mouth as I chirp. I get along with cats, dogs, and kittens and possibly children.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit cat rescue group. We rescue abandoned cats & kittens from the streets and high kill city animal shelters in Orange, Los Angeles, Imperial and San Diego counties.
We also help people who need to rehome their pets through our Community Foster Program in that we post the cats on our internet sites and accept applications for them. We also help the owner screen applicants and bring their cats to our adoption events but we cannot physically take them since we are foster based. We do not have a physical shelter, we foster in our homes, not in cages which is a more natural environment for cats.
Lastly, we help reduce the number of unwanted kittens with TNR (Trap-Neuter/spay-Release) by loaning traps and instructing others on how to TNR and by referring people to low-cost S/N clinics.
