Take me home! Petey, a 6-year old boston terrier/red heeler rescue, loves hanging in the backyard or indoors with a fun pet parent! He is seeking a child-free home with a fenced yard for games & relaxation. He has a sweet & loving personality. He makes a great emotional support dog. He adores attention, is highly intelligent, but has some fears like being cornered by humans, thunder, and vet visits. He occasionally relies on anti-anxiety meds to soothe his nerves. Despite his quirkiness he is one sociable pup who enjoys the company of both humans and medium/small dogs. He loves peanut butter kongs, crunchy carrots, & watermelon slices. You can find him basking in the sun or embarking on exciting adventures like walks, hikes, and jogs. He does bark when someone is at the door or walking by. He is trainable & needs an owner who enjoys giving him attention and reinforcing positive behaviors. Petey is reward driven. He is a pro at sleeping in his crate and hits the hay early before 9 pm.
