My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Email EPASAdoptions@elpasotexas.gov with his A number to meet Scotch! This is what his foster family has to say about him:andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Scotch is the sweetest boy ever!! He is so gentle and has the curiosity of puppy. Although he is very shy and timid at first, with enough patience, encouragement, and deli meat, all he wants is to lay next to you and get some love!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Scotch is an older dog and enjoys the slower side of life, such as watching tv or reading a book next to you or napping in his crate. His favorite snacks are deli meat as well as soft and chewy milk bones.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Scotch does not chew on things or bark or whine. He is very well crate trained and has had only a few accidents inside (we think it is because he is scared to walk outside). We often times use a wagon to get him out and he very much likes sitting back while looking at things around him.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;He gets along well with other dogs and cats and would thrive in a home with another dog to help encourage him to come out of his shell.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;And yes, his ears are like that all the time :)andlt;br/andgt;

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
