My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maxine! This adventurous girl recently went on a doggy day out, and she was a total star (she received an A+)! Maxine loves to hike, run, and play, but knows when to settle down. Sheandamp;#39;s social, fun, and did great around kids, showing off her friendly and loving personality. Maxine also enjoys car rides, making her a great travel buddy for all your adventures.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Maxine does well with other dogs and is a gentle, polite presence. She respects boundaries well and adjusts to the style of the other dog, and lived previously with two small senior dogs.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;When it comes to outdoor fun, Maxine is always up for it. Whether itandamp;#39;s exploring new trails or enjoying a tasty pup cup after a long hike, sheandamp;#39;s happiest when sheandamp;#39;s out and about. Maxine is also leash trained and potty trained, so sheandamp;#39;s ready to join you on your daily jog or a trip to the park, or a snuggle on the couch.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
