My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you ready to welcome a bundle of joy and energy into your life? Look no further than our adorable puppies Harper, Harlow and Hurley bursting with personality and eager to find their forever homes. These puppies would thrive in homes with space to roam and play, such as a house with a fenced yard or access to safe outdoor areas. Families who can dedicate time to training, socialization, and exercise will be rewarded with a loyal and loving companion for years to come. They are well-suited for families with children who understand how to interact gently with a growing puppy. Large breed puppies benefit greatly from positive reinforcement training to help them grow into well-behaved adult dogs. Basic obedience training and socialization are essential to ensure they become confident and well-adjusted companions. They're waiting to become your new best friend and lifelong companion.

These puppies are in foster and not viewable in shelter. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to contact everyone.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
