My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Jolene: A Sweet, Shy Lab Mix Still Looking for Her Forever Home! 🐾

Jolene is a gentle soul who may be a bit shy when meeting new people, but she quickly opens up with a few kind words! She's an incredibly quiet girl—staff have never heard her bark or whine. Jolene is super calm and well-mannered!

While she loves playing outside, Jolene is still getting used to the leash. However, with each walk, she's improving and with a little patience, she'll be a pro in no time! She enjoys being part of the puppy and mixed-age play group, though she can be a bit shy during initial meetings with new dogs.

Jolene is amazing during nail trims, sitting patiently with minimal wiggling. She's very food-motivated during training and is currently working on "sit" and "down." Jolene loves toys and isn’t destructive, meaning all your stuffies are safe with this sweet girl!

She'll fit well into any home with a big heart and some room to play! ❤️

More about this shelter

The Marshall County Animal Control shelter is located in Albertville, Alabama. We pick up stray dogs across Marshall County with the exception of Albertville, Arab, Boaz, Guntersville, and Grant city limits. When picked up, dogs are help on their "stray hold" for 7 days to provide owners an opportunity to reclaim their dog. Afterwards, dogs are available for adoption or rescue.
