As Kiva saunters over to you gracefully and looks at you with those soulful eyes...you see nothing but beauty. But when she turns to the side, you see she is nothing but a bag of bones. Touch her head and feel the softness of her fur. As your hand travels down her soft back, you are interrupted by the bump, bump, bump of her protruding spine. Then you hit the roadblock of her hips. Her sides feel like a couple of washboards from her protruding ribs. Does any of this stop her from being the sweetest, most loving dog you may ever encounter? Not a chance. Kiva loves to be around her person. She generally follows her foster mom around the house. She has a bed next to her foster mom and curls up until morning. She is house trained, knows sit, stays close outside and comes when she is called. She loves car rides and will hop right in. She is well behaved at the vet's office. She is good with other dogs but has limited play due to her fragile state. She is also good with children.

Kiva is just under a year old, Cane Corso. Kiva has blossomed into a beautiful dog, inside and out. She is currently at 61lb. She still has more weight to gain. She is already looking many times better than she did before. Kiva is looking for a home where she can be included in family activities, hang out with her favorite humans.
