My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coffee is a mature male Pit Bull born June 22, 2017 with a heart full of love and a calm disposition that is sure to bring serenity to your home. Despite facing the challenge of being mostly blind, Coffee's gentle nature and affectionate personality make him an ideal companion for families, especially those with children. His love for people and his ability to form strong bonds ensure he will quickly become a cherished member of your household.

Though Coffee is selective with other dogs, he thrives in the company of humans and is looking for a loving forever home with an owner who understands the unique characteristics and needs of his breed. With the right environment and care, Coffee will flourish and bring warmth and joy to your life.

What to Expect When Adopting a Dog Like Coffee

  1. Understanding and Patience:
    • Coffee's sight limitations mean he requires understanding and patience as he navigates his surroundings. Ensuring a safe and accessible environment will help him feel secure and comfortable.
  2. Affectionate Companionship:
    • Coffee thrives on human interaction and enjoys being close to his family. Regular quality time together, filled with gentle affection and reassurance, will strengthen your bond and make him feel cherished.
  3. Breed Knowledge:
    • As a Pit Bull, Coffee benefits from an owner who understands the breed’s traits and needs. Providing a structured environment and maintaining his comfort with consistent routines will help him thrive.
  4. Kid-Friendly Environment:
    • Despite his visual impairment, Coffee is great with children and enjoys their company. His gentle nature and relaxed demeanor make him a wonderful companion for family-based homes.
  5. Selective Socialization:
    • Coffee may be selective with other dogs, so it's important to monitor his interactions and ensure positive social experiences. Introducing him gradually to other pets, if any, will help manage his social comfort.
  6. Balanced Routine:
    • A balanced routine that includes both relaxation and gentle activities will keep Coffee happy and healthy. Regular walks and quiet time together will provide the comfort and stimulation he needs.

By welcoming Coffee into your home, you're inviting a gentle and loving companion into your life. His calm presence and affectionate heart will bring peace and warmth to your household. If you're ready to offer Coffee the understanding and love he deserves, he might just be the perfect match for your family!

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
