Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WELCOME BOWIE…
This handsome boy was found sitting in the same place for hours in a park - whether he was left or wandered there from somewhere we will never know. What was apparent to his finders is he needed help - cats just don't behave like this. Upon initial exam it was thought that Bowie was injured as his back legs are bowed and he seemed to be walking with caution. After an exam and x-rays by our favorite and most trusted orthopedic vet, it was determined that Bowie was born this way and while he moves slower than your average cat, he isn't in any pain. The outcome of surgery to straighten his legs would be iffy at best, so all were in agreement to just let Bowie be Bowie and allow him to live his life as he has been - with the exception of being outdoors and homeless, of course!
Bowie is truly the sweetest and gentlest cat you will ever meet - he is so full of love! He has a unique way of laying where he stretches completely out with his hips touching the surface he is on and his legs splayed out to the side. This causes him no pain and actually seems to be quite comfortable for him. His back feet are also a bit different but they function just fine - they are kind of stubby, if you can imagine that. These differences may cause him some arthritis down the road, which any cat can have at some point in their life, but other than we don't anticipate any issues with his mobility.
Bowie is great with other cats but dogs are an unknown. We can say he would do best in a home with a dog that doesn't have a strong prey drive as Bowie can't just get up and run away quickly if need be.
This incredibly sweet fella won't be with us long - his personality is going to win someone over quickly so if you're thinking he may be the cat for you, hurry on in before it's too late and he finds himself with someone other than you.
Bowie has an approximate DOB of 5/31/22.
