My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Belle is a 10 month old, 40 lb Shepherd/Australian Kelpie mix, but breed mix is just a guess since she was found as a stray. Can you believe that no one claimed this gorgeous girl? Belle is great with the other dogs in her foster home, but cats...not so much. She has great leash manners and would be a perfect walking, running, or hiking partner. She loves the water whether it's the people pool, the puppy pool, or just the water hose. She is so smart - of course she is, she is part Shepherd. She has already learned to sit on command and shake hands. She is the life of the party, and everyone who meets her loves her! Belle is still all puppy, so she will need plenty of durable chew toys. She is house and crate trained. Belle doesn't live with young kids in her foster home, but we think she will be fine with kids over the age of 10. If you would like to meet Belle, please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Submit Application

You may complete an application via our website at http://www.humanetomorrow.org/adopt/.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.

Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats

Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs

The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.

Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.

More about this rescue

Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.

We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
