Hank is a 3-year-old tricolor beagle. He was found roaming in the country last year. Hank stayed at the vet clinic for treatment of heart worms when his owner’s refused to come and claim him. The clinic contacted HBHR when Hank was ready to find his forever home.
He is a sweet and very friendly boy who gets along with humans and dogs alike. He is a medium energy dog who enjoys his morning walks and playing fetch, but he also likes to spend time snoozing on the couch. He loves cuddling and head scratches. His favorite activity is to play with dog toys, and he loves throwing them up in the air and catching them. He walks well on leash and is calm and not reactive when he meets other dogs on his walks. He is housetrained with use of a doggie door.
Hank has a stocky build and weighs about 35 lb. He loves food and treats, like a typical beagle, and will try to steal your food, if you are not careful. He is very good and calm in his crate. He willingly goes into the crate when enticed by throwing a treat in it. He is currently crated when no one is at home but has the run of the house during the night. Most nights he chooses to sleep on the couch, or occasionally on one of the dog beds.
Hank could be an only dog or part of a pack. Because he is still young, he would do best in a home where he gets to have regular exercise. If you would like to meet Hank, please fill out an application.
