Dillon was yet another one of our rescues that came from the deplorable conditions of a hoarding situation. All of these cats deserve to know what a clean, safe home feels like. She was pulled out of the house just one day after giving birth to four little ones. Born around April, 2022, Dillon is a beautiful dilute calico. Even at her young age, her lack of nutrition caused most of her teeth to fall out and a necessary dental surgery removed the remainder of them. She has such a calm demeanor and is a much happier cat now that her mouth pain has subsided. She will need a little time to get used to a new environment.
Dillon is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!
It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
