Meet Remi, a handsome 1-year-old male Hound with a contagious energy that will keep you on your toes. This sweet boy was once a stray, but now he's ready to leave his past behind and start a new adventure with a loving family.

Remi is an active and playful pooch who loves to explore and discover new things. He is a bit shy in his kennel but out of the kennel he is a social butterfly, he's always excited to make new canine friends. As for humans, well, Berkley is a total lovebug. He's affectionate, curious, and always ready to shower you with endless kisses and cuddles.

When it comes to other dogs, Remi has no problem sharing the spotlight. He gets along well with his fellow furry friends and enjoys spending time with them.

Remi is neutered, vaccinated, given dewormer, tested and microchipped and is ready for his new home :)

The Orange County Animal Shelter provides safe haven and vet care for hundreds of animals of all ages and descriptions each year.
Happily, we have had great success promoting our animals on Petfinder, Petsmart adoption events and now with the help of Adopt-A-Pet. Dozens of animals have been adopted by people who have come from many other states. Would you like to join them? If so, please let us know! The greater our reach the more homes we will find for the animals in our care.
Although we are about 1.5 hours away from the Washington, D.C. metro area, it is an easy drive. You can even make a day of it and stop off at country stores, Civil War battlefield sites and a huge mall complex in Spotsylvania/Fredericksburg.
