Meet Indi a shy but very sweet 2 year old Pit Bull/Siberian Husky mix who was surrendered along with her sister Tivi.
Indi has lived most of her adult life as an outside kennel dog so she will need a patient and loving family that will give her guidance and boundaries as she settles into being a spoiled house dog!
Indi is a friendly and affectionate dog with lots of love to give! She is an adult dog with lots of energy and is very playful, smart, and brave. She is curious about the world around her and loves to explore new places and smells. She is also independent and enjoys some alone time, but is shy around new people and in new situations, so will need some extra love and patience to help her come out of her shell.
Indi was said to be a bit bossy with her sister so we will need to make sure she meets any and all dogs she will be living with. Indi CAN NOT go to a home that has cats or chickens as she is not good with them!
Indi has been spayed, has been brought up to date on her vaccines. Microchipped, Heartworm tested, Flea/Tick prevention started, she has been microchipped.

The Orange County Animal Shelter is responsible for providing humane care to unwanted, lost or abandoned animals
The Orange County Animal Shelter provides safe haven and vet care for hundreds of animals of all ages and descriptions each year.
Happily, we have had great success promoting our animals on Petfinder, Petsmart adoption events and now with the help of Adopt-A-Pet. Dozens of animals have been adopted by people who have come from many other states. Would you like to join them? If so, please let us know! The greater our reach the more homes we will find for the animals in our care.
Although we are about 1.5 hours away from the Washington, D.C. metro area, it is an easy drive. You can even make a day of it and stop off at country stores, Civil War battlefield sites and a huge mall complex in Spotsylvania/Fredericksburg. And after all, what is a few hours in drive time when you will be meeting your new best friend? If you need help getting here, call us for directions
