Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, playful, loving Gerdi needs a forever home! Gerdi is a year old yellow lab mix. She loves to play outside with her other dog friends and loves just as much to knock out next to her humans after a long day of being a playful puppy! Gerdi does great in the car, at the vet, loves all people, is not destructive inside of a home or outside in a yard. She is dog friendly, however Gerdi is a hard player, so she would be best if paired with another large breed dog.

Approve Application

Adopters application will either get approved or denied based on the pets needs.

2.
Meet the Pet

Adoption interview and a meet and greet happen at the same time.

3.
Home Check

If meet and greet/ interview go well, we will do a home check to ensure the pet is safe.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once adoption contract is signed and fee is paid, the pet has officially been adopted!

Additional adoption info

Southside Strays adopts dogs out as indoor companions, not as outdoor guard dogs. Most of the pets that come through our door had either been abandoned or spent way too long wandering the streets. It's their turn to enjoy the life of a spoiled bed-hog! We do require home checks before the adoption process is complete to ensure our dogs are going to a safe home.
