My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My Adoption Fee is Waived!

Nala is a sweet, well-behaved pup who is ready to find her forever-family. She is prematurely gray (just like her foster mom!) but our vet thinks she has the teeth of a 2-3 year old. As her foster parents, we can definitely say that this girl is in the prime of life: she loves being out and about and having fun, especially playing with toys in the backyard. Her #1 favorite is the herding ball, which can keep her amused for hours, but she`ll go for a game of fetch any day and she`ll bring you a toy if she`s feeling playful. She is super smart and a quick learner.

Her current routine involves 2 daily walks and playtime. Aside from that, she`s content to laze around in the house or on the patio. She sometimes plays with our other dog so we think she could do well in a house with other pups; however, we think she`d do just fine on her own as well. She hasn`t shown signs of separation anxiety, and we`ve felt comfortable leaving her alone at home for several hours. She is fully housebroken and has never given in to household temp-tations like the food bin or messing with our stuff.

Her one challenge is that she is leash-reactive when she sees another dog. We are working on `heel` to draw her focus on walks; she’s already making progress and we’re confident she will overcome it. However, this will likely be a long process and she needs an adopter willing to work on it. Aside from this, she is a dream on walks.
