My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

John B lives up to his Outer Banks namesake! He is outgoing, friendly, playful, and undoubtedly photogenic. He is very eager to please and quickly develops a bond with his person. Meal time is his favorite time. He spends his day resting quietly in the crate and his evenings playing with his foster sister and practicing waking on a leash. If youre looking for a spunky, loving companion, John B is the dude for you! John B has already completed his vet care (neuter, vaccines, and microchip)! His adoption fee is $300. If youd like to adopt him, please submit an application and well be in touch ASAP. A meet with any approved applicant's current pets would be required before starting the 2-week adoption trial period. Please visit our website savedbyfate.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Additional adoption info

SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

More about this rescue

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
