Sister was originally seized by animal control from her owner back on 4/12 along with 11 other dogs. She came to the shelter covered in fleas, was dirty, had obvious signs of being previously bred and had multiple scars and scratches all over her face. She was later returned to the owner with certain guidelines being met. She was once again picked up by animal control, this time as a stray on 5/7. She has since been relinquished by her former owner.
Sister is a 50 lb 3 yr old Lab mix. We imagine she has lived a life outdoors in the dirt amongst several other dogs. When the shelter staff gave her a soft bed to lay on, she immediately sprawled out belly side up to take a long snooze!
Sister has an award winning smile and personality to go with it. She has such a zest for life and is so curious and stimulated by her surroundings. We imagine her sense of smell is much greater than the average dog. Touch and smell are all she has. Sister has learned to navigate her foster home like a pro and is potty trained. She is dog friendly, although can't see or hear a cue from another dog. So ideally if another dog in the home, then one that is patient and tolerant of having a special needs sibling.
Sister's adoption fee is $150 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccines current, deworming and flea treatment. Apply at www.lovebugsrescue.org

We are a foster based animal rescue located in Southern California. Our goal is to work with local animal shelters that are overpopulated so we may lessen the amount of animals being euthanized unnecessarily. We are 100% volunteer based.
