My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the adorable Clawww-dia,

She is wonderful, friendly and named Clawdia for her charming extra thumbs! Did you know that extra thumbs mean extra good luck?

This young lady recently had a litter of kittens. She is looking for a foster-to-adopt in the Nanaimo area until her mammary glands diminish enough for her spay surgery.

Clawdia would love a home with lots of attention. She is a medium-gorgeous haired floof and as such, would love a home that can help keep her locks glossy. She loves her yummy treats a window watching.

Clawwdia's ideal home would be an indoor-only set up, with a nice cat tree she can use to show you her sharp claws. She would love all the pets and love.

Please put in an online application today and we can schedule the best Meet&Greet in town. Clawdia is a talker and has so many secrets to tell you! Could be fun!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
