Howdy, everyone! My name is Monarch, and I'm a spirited 2 yr. old Foxhound mix with a heart full of love, rescued from South Carolina by the wonderful folks at Big Dog Ranch Rescue. They're helping me find my forever home, and I can't wait to meet the family who'll love me like the royalty I am-after all, my name is Monarch!

I've got that classic hound dog personality-curious and playful-but I'm also a bit on the shy and submissive side when you first meet me. Once I warm up, you'll find that I love nothing more than cuddling up and snuggling with my favorite humans. I may have some energy for playtime, but I'm also all about those cozy moments together.

Now, I should mention that I'm currently heartworm positive, but don't worry- Big Dog Ranch is taking care of my treatment, and it does not prevent me from going home and doesn't hold me back from being the loyal, loving companion you've been looking for. I'm hoping to find a home where I'll be cherished and treated like the king I truly am. Could that home be yours?

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit our website adoptions page to complete an adoption application. at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. Once you have completed the application, we will contact you to let you know you have been approved and then you will be able to set up an appointment to come and meet dogs you are interested in. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
