My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonnie Sue was a stray and her rescuer is 78 and on dialysis with 3 other dogs. He got her fixed 3 months ago, after coexisting with other 3 dogs for one year, when she came back from vet the others attacked her and would not accept her back in the pack. Very unusual circumstances, her scars are almost healed, now can someone heal her heart?

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption contract to be signed where the adopter agrees to keep heartworm preventative and vaccinations current, provide regular vet care, and treat the adopted pet as a family member. We require references including their veterinarian, and reserve the right to require an onsite home visit. We stipulate that should the adoption not work out, the pet will be returned to us. Our adoption fee is normally $200 and includes all appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm negative. But due to overcrowding we are providing a fee reduction of $50 for large dogs and $25 for small dogs and puppies under 6 months donation of your discretion but not required. under 6 months have all shots and rabies but unhealthy to spay/neuter b4 6 months.

Go meet their pets

Anyone interested in visiting the property may contact us and set up an appointment! We are in serious need of adopters, we are over what the Parish decided in 2021 to put a limit on size of operation to 40 dogs. My father started rescuing on this property in 1998, became 501c in 2003, at which time, no limit. We have 5 acres of land and had 200 kennels pre Ida, our own sanitation treatment, and we are being fined by Tangipahoa Parish Animal control $500 a month for having too many dogs. However most we save are from dying elderly, or indigent people who animal control told them they had to rehome them themselves or they would be put down. Help!

More about this rescue

Angels Angel's is a newly founded privately owned/operated 501(c)3 organization located in Roseland, Louisiana and dedicated to providing loving care to abandoned, stray, and abused animals. We receive no state or federal funding. We rely on donations only.

We are strictly NO-KILL except in situations where an animal is suffering from a terminal illness resulting in untreatable pain. While we do our best to find each pet a family of their own, those not chosen for adoption have a permanent home with us.

Many of the pets we take in are ill or injured. Some will require special care for the rest of their lives. We do not pick and choose who we will take on the basis of their health or adoptability. Every life is sacred and deserving of our love and the very best care we can give.

Our motto is "No Dog Left Behind". Our goal is to never turn away an animal with no other place to go, or let one die due to a treatable illness, and to find loving homes for as many of our dogs as possible.
