Oreo is an older boy that needs love and some medical help! He qualifies for our special needs rate.
He's a sweet gentleman around 7 years old. He likes to be pet and needs an owner that can take care of him. He had a mass on his back end/tail area that was removed and biopsied. Unfortunately it was found to be cancerous but it was removed - his X-ray and his ultrasound were clear so the cancer has not spread. Oreo will need medication to keep him healthy. He is relatively easy to medicate and we would be happy to show you how to do so. He should get regular check-ups at the vet to make sure he stays in good shape. He's doesn't like pets on his back/tail area where the mass was removed, he's got big meaty paws and will let you know when he's had enough!
Oreo is not sure about other cats so we think he would do best in an only cat home. He is up to date on his vaccinations and tested negative for FIV and FELV. His already neutered and just needs a pal - is that you? Please apply at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28
