Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Anita-we have been calling her Penny.
Penny is sweet and loving, loves to play, currently living in a foster home with multiple dogs and cats and doing great. Penny warms up very quickly, is very curious, smart, and a quick learner who always wants to please. She will be your little shadow and follow you everywhere. SHe sleeps through the night, good on housebreaking and eagerly eats his two meals a day. Penny is just amazing. Recovering from heartworm treatment and will have some restrictions on activity for just a short while longer that we will discuss.
PLEASE BE SURE TO READ-Penny arrived testing positive for heartworm disease, she is mid treatment, doing great and needs a foster to complete treatment. It is important to keep dogs relatively quiet during this period-happy to discuss more with an applicant. A foster will be first in line for adoption once her treatment is finished. She needs a fairly quiet home close enough to Ellicott City that bringing her to the vet on July 29th and August 26st and 27 th will not be a problem. She is expected to recover fully.
PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us.
The adoption fee is $425, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped.
APPLY AT ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG (click on the word "Adopt" at top of page to find the dropdown menu with application)
Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Find our application on our website, almosthomedogs.org, then click on "Adopt" tab at top
We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment.
