My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All of Mama Bread's loaves have been adopted! Now it is time she find a home of her own :)

She and her 3 kitties had been wandering around an apartment complex parking lot before they found their way to us. She can be a little timid around new people but once you show her a little bit of love and patience, she will warm up to you and you'll really see her personality start to blossom. She is very affectionate, lazy, and laid back- so if you're looking for a couch potato she's your girl! Give Mama Bread a new chance at life and adopt her today!
If interested in adopting please call the clinic at 205-870-4500 for further details. Adoptable animals at VPAC are brought in through Homewood Animal Control then held for 10 days for an owner to claim. If no one claims them, the animals are put up for adoption and are updated on vaccines and given fecal exams and heartworm tests before they go to their furrever home. Our adoption fee includes the cost of the first years vaccines & spaying/neutering services which we provide to the animal at 6 months of age or prior to their adoption.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is coming in and visiting. After you have chosen a pet to adopt you will fill out an application for adoption. If you are renting please bring proof that you are eligible to have a pet at home. Our adoption fee is 160.00 which includes spay/neuter and current vaccinations. We do require you to take your new pet in for a check up within 7 days of adoption to establish veterinary care. We also strongly advice keeping your new pet on flea and heart-worm preventative year round, and require annuals vaccinations to prevent illness.
