My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruno was born on 2/6/2024, and he is a Shepherd/hound mix puppy. He weighs about 25lbs, and he is up to date on vaccines.

Bruno is an awesome puppy with the sweetest personality! He’s pretty energetic and is getting more and more comfortable at his foster home.

He will need a family that will provide plenty of opportunities for him to burn that puppy energy. He's on for long naps and snuggles after that!

Bruno is learning to walk on leash and is doing well. He’s very distracted/scared by cars and getting used to the new sounds and smells as his world continues to expand. He loves to smell everything!

Bruno settles in his crate fairly quickly and hasn't had any accidents in it. He already knows to go in the crate when it's meal time.

Staying true to his puppy nature, Bruno is a little jumpy. This is something he can be trained out of or may outgrow on his own. So for families with younger kids, supervision will be a must.

Bruno loves people and receiving attention. He also enjoys his chew toy, and being outside playing with his foster siblings.

Please Note:

Pup cannot be left alone for more than 4-5 hours at a time. This is necessary for comfort breaks and much-needed socialization for a pup this age.

We review veterinary care for applicants. This includes regular well visits, core vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm, and tickborne tests, as well as regular monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Please contact your veterinarian’s office to give them permission to speak to us before we call them.

If your application meets our adoption criteria, we will contact you within 1 week. At that time, you will be contacted (usually by email) to schedule a phone interview and a virtual home visit (Facetime, Skype, etc). Due to the volume of applications, applications that do not move forward to an interview may not receive a reply within that time frame.
