Howl was adopted from an organization that rehomes street dogs from Mexico. Him and his brothers were found in a slaughterhouse there and I adopted him at about 3 months. He’s about 1 year old now.
He had a hard first few months and this has some engrained issues. Because of his life on the street, he does have some food aggression, and it takes a while to earn his trust. He is reactive towards unfamiliar people and dogs he doesn’t know, but will generally be once he warms up to them. His future home will need to have patience and be willing to work on his behavioral issues.
That said, he’s a super smart guy, and highly food motivated. He picks up tricks and skills easily. When you are in his tribe, he is really sweet, loyal, and just wants belly rubs and neck scratches.
I am only rehoming him bc he and his brother (also reactive) have gotten into multiple fights, and since i am the only one taking care of both, and am unable to handle these scuffles on my own.
