Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Riggs is a 2-year old mixed breed male dog. He weighs about 51lbs.
Riggs is a playful bundle of energy with an insatiable curiosity for the world around him. Whether he's chasing after a ball, exploring toys, or greeting every person and dog he meets with a wagging tail, he is ready for any adventure.
Riggs has an outgoing personality, and he is looking for someone who can keep up with his energy and enjoys some cozy cuddles at the end of the day.
Riggs quite the gentleman. He gets along with everyone he meets (even the cranky resident pup)! He is confident and dominant, but don’t let that fool you - Riggs is smart and learning some furry friends like to be left alone sometimes.
Despite his energetic nature, he has a sweet, gentle side and loves nothing more than to snuggle up with his foster humans after a day of adventures.
Riggs will need someone who is patient and that will teach him good doggy manners. He is eager to learn and already sits nicely for treats. If you’re an experienced dog lover, Riggs is definitely your guy! Bonus points if you have a big yard.
Riggs is crate trained, and he doesn’t make a peep all night unless it’s thundering and then just needs some reassurance. He's also good with cats.
Friendly and affectionate, Riggs is ready to make new friends and share his boundless joy and love.
Riggs walks well on a leash and loves to go for walks.
He’s really a gem!
Please Note:
We review veterinary care for applicants. This includes regular well visits, core vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm, and tickborne tests, as well as regular monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Please contact your veterinarian’s office to give them permission to speak to us before we call them.
Applications are available at www.puppypawsrescue.org
If your application meets our adoption criteria, we will contact you within 1 week. At that time, you will be contacted (usually by email) to schedule a phone interview and a virtual home visit (Facetime, Skype, etc). Due to the volume of applications, applications that do not move forward to an interview may not receive a reply within that time frame.
