Toki Let's start this interview with a few essential facts. 1. I am one handsome tuxedo-wearing dude! 2. I am only 1-year-old, already neutered, weigh only 9 pounds, and am great with the litterbox. 3. I am not just friendly, but also a sociable guy with polite manners. I'm always up for a good chat or a cuddle session. 4. I am a sucker for pets, ear rubs, and back massages. I adore these gestures of love and care.
Now, as for the "hitch in my get-along", I have been diagnosed with PICA, which is a disorder found in humans and animals alike. I enjoy chewing on and swallowing things I shouldn't eat. Especially cardboard, rubber bands, hair elastics, and things that could get stuck in my intestinal tract. I have not had the slightest urge at the shelter to eat my bed, blankets, or even the toys I was approved to have. I was surrendered because my owner of 10 months couldn't afford my daily medicine. I looked it up on the Chewy website and found it could be as low as $0.12 a tablet. And I take 1/2 a tablet every day. This helps me avoid chomping on those "No-No things." I have lived with another cat and done well. I deserve a home that loves and wants to care for me. I'm being frank because I want you to have all the facts. I'm looking for a loving and caring home, and I hope you can be the one to provide it. 8-31-24

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.
This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
