Meet Diamond! This delightful 2-year-old Hound is full of charm and potential. Her journey began when she was brought in as a stray on 5/31/24. She quickly found a home on 7/2/24, but was returned a week later due to her enthusiastic leash pulling. Despite this, her former owner described her as sweet, goofy, quick to potty train, funny, and knowledgeable in basic commands, with moderate to high energy.
Diamond was adopted again the same day she was returned but was found as a stray at Quail Ridge Park on 9/16. During her cat test, she showed more interest in their food, indicating that with further training and patience, she could potentially get along well with cats and dogs.
Diamond learned alot of new things during training! She knows several commands, including sit, down, place, heel, shake, and come. When she first arrived at Yuppy Puppy, she had trouble with accidents, but with a good routine, she does great now. She is food motivated, which makes training easier. However, having her off-leash can be a challenge as she thinks it`s a game and can be difficult to get back. It`s recommended to keep her on a leash while she runs around or walks. For those interested in off-leash adventures, it is recommended to continue further training before doing so.
Diamond will act like a puppy if you let her, whether it`s with commands or behaviors. She’s super fun and ready to bring lots of joy to her new home! With the right guidance and a loving home, she is sure to thrive and bring joy to her new family. Could you be the one to give Diamond the forever home she deserves?
