Everyone meet this hunky boy, Keller! Keller is about 65lbs, with roughly 40 of those pounds coming from his meaty block head. Keller was transported from Louisiana, where he was found as a stray with face wounds, treated, then was fostered in a home with children and another small pup. At his current foster home, he lives with 3 other pups, having met one so far! Ranging between 1.5-2 years old, this fast and furious character will never leave you bored — he is in puppy play mode daily!! From zoomies, to repeatedly flipping his toys and bones in the air, to playing tug, he keeps you on your toes and entertained! Keller has an affinity for jumping up and sitting his beefy bum cake on counters and tables to get a better view of the world he rules… And quite honestly has zero regrets about it. He is extremely affectionate, food motivated, and intelligent. This cow-like velvety hippo sometimes displays his affection through play nibbles, in which his foster has been working with him to politely let him know “ain’t nobody got time for that, Keller.” On a leash, Keller shows off his big boy strength!! But the great news is… between his intelligence and food motivation, Keller has a bright future in reaching his potential with patience and consistency in his training! you must apply at doubledogdarerescue.org before meeting dogs. We are a foster based rescue, not a facility where dogs can be seen.

Approve Application
Once your application is approved you will be put in touch with the foster to set up a meet.

Pay Fee
Fee is $250 cash or $260 credit card. There is an additional $75 deposit for any dog that is adopted before they have been spay/neutered.

We do require all applicants to fill out an application. We process applications as quickly as we can but do a thorough check to insure our dogs are going to the best homes for the animal. Once you are approved, we will schedule a meet with your family and the dog that you are interested in. If deemed a good fit on both sides, we will complete the adoption contract with you.
