My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions.

Meet Novi, a friendly and confident Shepherd mix puppy. At 11 weeks old and weighing 21 pounds, Novi has the perfect amount of energy. She loves running around the yard, playing with other dogs, and enjoys some downtime with her humans. Novi is the kind of pup who can have a rough-and-tumble play session and then settle down for a nap at your feet. Novi's playful nature is incredibly endearing. She loves to play with dogs of all sizes. When a bigger dog knocks her over, she gets right back up and dives back into the fun. Novi is a quick learner; she already knows how to sit for treats and food, uses a dog door, and is getting better at walking on a leash. She’s eager to please and would thrive in a training class or with some dedicated training time at home. Novi knows "Sit" and "Come," and she’s learning to "Wait" when her humans go out the door. She follows hand signals to go up and down a play ramp and is crate-trained, sleeping quietly through the night. Novi is also housetrained with a dog door, making her morning, after-meal, and bedtime potty trips a breeze. Novi enjoys chasing a ball, playing tug with toys, receiving affectionate pets, and sleeping near her favorite human’s chair. She loves exploring the yard and playing with other dogs. Novi gets along well with other dogs, from tiny puppies to older, larger dogs. She’s met children and enjoyed walks and playtime with them, making her a great candidate for a home with kids over 8. Novi needs an active family who can spend time with her and continue her training. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal for her explorations and playtime. Novi would love to have a friendly dog sibling to play with and children who can include her in their activities, like walks or hikes. She’s a sweet-tempered pup who craves attention and will quickly become a loyal, well-behaved companion with the right guidance and love.

THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents.

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first!

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the submittal of an Adoption Application online and a phone interview with one of our adoption coordinators. To be sure the long distance adoption is the right match for both the dog and family, we offer virtual video conference meeting for your new family member. Following verification and approval of your adoption application, we will arrange a professional transport of our new family member to your area. Our adoption donations range from $200-$300 depending on circumstances of the rescue dog, age, breed, etc. Professional transportation for your new family member is $150. We require a signed contract, driver's license and vet reference.

Go meet their pets

Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter in the New England area. Therefore it is not possible to meet our rescues in person prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new families each week! The professional transport service is certified through the USDA. Our rescue dogs can be returned to us if things don't work out. We want each adoption to be for a forever home, so we try very hard to make sure it's the right match! Video conference meetings available and encouraged.

More about this rescue

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) no-kill animal rescue located in the Upper Cumberland Region of Middle Tennessee where animal control issues are out of control. A.A.R.F. is making a difference not only in the lives of these wonderful, abandoned and neglected animals, but also in our community. We encourage you to see the wonderful dogs and puppies that we have available for adoption – and the best part is that we have a local transportation company, P.E.T.S. LLC (as seen on Animal Planet’s “Last Chance Highway”) right next door!
