For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Dasher is a sweet 3 yr old ginger girl who found herself returned because a child in the home had allergies. She was adopted out by SCB as a kitten and now she's back in foster care. Dasher loves human attention like being pet and spoken to. Her tail quivers when she is pet. She likes to make "air biscuits" when she is relaxed. She will sit on her foster parent's lap and even eats better if a human is there to pet her. She may need a day or two to warm up, as she gets scared easily. It was initially difficult for her to leave her family (understandably), but she has come around to being very affectionate to her foster humans. She seems to love every new human she meets! She isn't aggressive with her foster cat brothers, but is more affectionate than they like, too up close and personal. Dasher has now spent time with the two dogs in her foster home, she seems neutral about them, not upset at all. Our dogs are gentle and pretty quiet. Dasher was a single pet in her first home so this is all new to her. She did previously live with a toddler, so she is generous with young children. Please give this sweetheart a second chance at a loving home.

Additional adoption info
During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.
We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.
Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.
All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.
You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.
Questions - email us at: contact@straycatblues.org. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
