My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Pumpkin and Milkshake! These two are a set of charming 1 year old brothers who are a bonded pair. Pumpkin is an absolute lovebug who is sure to steal your heart with his sweet and affectionate nature. There are few things Pumpkin loves more than to give kisses and receive attention, and he is known for stretching his paws out to wrap himself around your neck for a hug. Pumpkin had a rough start to life, but due to his incredible personality, you’d never know it! He was originally found outside after surviving his first year of life as a stray. Pumpkin was brought in as a TNR cat, however, his handlers quickly saw what an absolute sweetheart he is and his was transferred into foster care.

Since Pumpkin is part of a bonded pair, he will need to be adopted with his brother, Milkshake. This dynamic duo is extremely close and they share a special bond and an enormous amount of love. They are like twins and have so much in common! These two are attached at the hip and they love cuddling and playing together. Pumpkin is a very friendly and easy-going kitty, and he would most likely do well in a variety of different home environments, although he does have a preference for homes that are not overly loud or chaotic. In foster care, Pumpkin has shown to be great with other cats, never displaying aggression even in tense situations, so he would most likely adjust well to any existing resident cats. Pumpkin has not yet met any dogs but he would most likely do well with them given a slow and careful introduction. He has also not yet met any children, but he would likely do well with children who have appropriate adult supervision or with older children who understand cat behavior and respect his boundaries. Most importantly, Pumpkin and his brother are looking for a loving home with kind humans who will provide them with lots of attention, love, and playtime.

Although you can frequently find him cuddled up for a nap, Pumpkin’s playful side often shines through, especially when he is playing with his brother! These two absolutely love playing with wand toys and anything they can carry around in their mouths and toss around. Catnip mice are a big favorite! Pumpkin also enjoys watching squirrels and birds from his perch atop the cat tree in the window. But above all else, Pumpkin’s all-time favorite play time activity is chasing and wrestling with his brother! These two will run back and forth through the long hallways where they chase each other until they get tired, then join their foster family for cuddles on the couch during movie night!

According to Pumpkin's foster mom, “his superpower would undoubtedly be charming people into falling in love with him with his adorable personality.” Pumpkin’s foster mom will miss him greatly when he finds his forever home, he has been such a positive influence in their home. According to her she will miss “receiving kisses from him and his unique and gentle little "mews" that almost resemble the sounds baby racoons make.” Despite his rough start to life, this sweet little guy has an incredibly loving and affectionate nature. Pumpkin loves nothing more than being held, cuddled, and brushed!

If you are looking for charming and playful companions who will shower you with kisses and love, Pumpkin and Milkshake are the perfect match for you! Please contact us if you’re interested in meeting Pumpkin and Milkshake, they’re ready to fill your life with double the love and fun!

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
