Honey is 1 yr old and new to our rescue.
Honey often hears people tell her “you are the cutest thing in the world,” and we would agree. A velcro dog in the house with her foster, outside she can be found chasing birds or running figure eights in her fenced-in yard (she did race into a pond after a duck once, so she needs to be watched under those circumstances). She gets along well with smaller dogs but is a bit wary when meeting large dogs. This young lady is definitely treat-motivated. She loves her own treats and takes every opportunity to steal the resident dog's treats and stash them in her crate, along with any toys lying about. Her fosters are working on commands.
Honey is learning to respect cats after a swipe of her nose. She walks well on a leash and seems to be fine with children, but she is a bit jealous when the humans pay attention to them. She does stick right by her foster mom unless she needs to burn off a little energy. When that happens she races up and down the steps as fast as her legs can carry her and then is ready to settle down. She did not seem to notice thunder but is frightened by loud unexpected household noises. Honey does take a little time to warm up to new people but is soon rolling on her back to get her favorite…belly rubs. A little princess to be sure, and she could be yours.
