Viola is a 7 month old German Shepherd mix who is ready to make the world her stage! Viola arrived with her Shakespeare siblings after Mama got busy with a gentleman in the neighborhood. Her siblings have since been adopted and now Viola is ready to charm her way into the role of a lifetime: a place in your family! Viola is all that is amazing about the GSD breed and promises a lifetime of adventure and love. She will be in the medium-large size range when she reaches her adult weight.

Viola is a world class adventurer who can’t wait to take on the world with her new people! She loves to show off her intelligence as she plays with her toys and impresses her foster parents. She is a great investigator and will sniff her way through the meadows, the beach, the campgrounds, or anywhere else your journeys take you. Viola would be a fabulous companion for a home looking for a happy, fantastic companion wanting to check out the world. Viola is super smart and easily trainable with treats. She will be the star of any family gathering as she shows off her routines. Viola also loves to cuddle at the end of the day and would be happy to try her best to crawl onto your lap and get pets. We won’t tell her she’s not quite lapdog size and she won’t hear it! Viola is ready to make her mark with you!

Viola wakes up at 7 AM with her foster siblings and heads outside for some playtime and a potty break. Breakfast is served in the kitchen at 8 AM and she happily chows down. After eating and another trip outside, Viola settles down for a morning nap. Walk one of the day takes place around 10 AM and is a happy romp around the block. In the afternoon, Viola plays in the yard and naps in the sunshine. She does some training in the late afternoon before she heads out on her evening walk with her foster siblings. She has dinner at 7 PM and then spends some time cuddling on the couch with her toys. After one last trip outside, Viola heads to bed and snoozes the night away in her crate.

Viola lives with other dogs and thrives in the home, but she could also be a solo pup. She can charm even the grumpiest dog into playing with her. Viola loves people of all ages, especially the ones who have cookies in their pockets. Viola will need some more puppy school training but she is a quick and eager learner! This girl is going to bring the house down every night for you!

Viola is only an option for those who have owned a dog in the past 5 years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 10.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
