My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SWEETIE is a little sheltie mix gal and she is SO LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER LOVING HOME to call her own. Our darling little Sweetie is now up to date on all of her vetting care and this little pumpkin will be looking for her forever home and a quiet home without a lot of noise and a companion home to settle into. Sweetie is on the shy side and will not do well with an active – energy home, but would prefer a home where she can just cuddle on the couch for movie time and snuggles.

Sweetie is a youngster at 3 years old and put on some weight and is up to 20.6 pounds and doing most well in foster care and just a lovely little gal that clings to her people. She looks for her trust and confidence with her foster mommy and needs to have that bond with her person to feel safe.

Sweetie is very shy and reserved and will need a home where she can be a loving companion and cuddle bug, with no expectations of her going camping or road trips and no big social life. She needs a Sheltie home that understands this and will work with her and just love on her for who she is… a quiet little gal that would just like to have a mommy to bond with. Also, she would need a home with no small kids or grandkids and Sweetie is find with other dogs and does most well with the other shelties her size. She is a lovebug but just not open to a huge world as of yet. She needs a companion home that understands her needs and a home that takes things slow and focuses on companion time and cuddle time.

Sweetie is not an outdoors pup at all, and is afraid of things on leash walks and gets very nervous, and she would prefer a home where she can have her own fenced in backyard to call her own and a safe and quiet home without the stress of new and scary things the great outdoors bring. She would just like to have her safe home, cuddles and no leash walks, or outdoor adventures… she is a homebody pup and that is where she feels safe.

Sweetie is being fostered in the Doylestown, PA area. Sweetie sends her loving hugs and she has made so much progress here in Sheltie Rescue and many thanks to our loving foster home, Marianne for all of her loving care. This little gal needs a home to call her own and she is such a peach.

We are taking inquiries and new application for this little gal and for the right home. Sweetie will need a secure fenced in yard… and NO EXCEPTIONS.

More about this rescue

Heart’s Promise Sheltie Rescue (HPSR) is an all-volunteer organization established to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Shelties. All our Shelties are fostered in HPSR volunteers' homes (we do not have a shelter). All vetting needs are addressed promptly and fully, including spay or neuter. The sheltie fosters are then eligible to be adopted to carefully chosen homes, where they will be loved, well cared for. HPSR is a not for profit organization funded solely by donations.
