Hi, nice to meat you! My name is Jerky! My story with SNIPSA kicks off when an SNIPSA team member, Roxanne, found me in a Bill Miller’s parking lot on her day off. I was looking pretty rough with a broken tail, a few scrapes and a flea infestation. I was in need of a serious makeover and a good meal. Yes…although I was in a parking lot with loads of bar-b-que and sides, I was not fortunate enough to dine with anyone. Roxanne immediately rushed me to SNIPSA where the team members bathed me and gave me the medical care I was desperate for. Although I ended up losing my tail, I’m already feeling and looking much better. Plus, don’t you think it adds to my character? ;) I am on the mend now, with a bright outlook and a loving nature. In addition to my uniqueness, I am very affectionate - you will always hear my purr when I am near. You can find me taking naps on the couch or watching the neighborhood creatures through the window when I'm not seeking attention from my humans. My foster mom adores me and her other cats do, too! If you think I am bar-b-cute, please consider adopting me.

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
