For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps Ritchie County Humane Society with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Belle was surrendered to the shelter with her friend Jack Black on 6/12/2024. They were running off together and getting into some trouble, but they are great, loving dogs. They came in with some skin problems, they were missing most of their hair, but with some medicine and lots of baths, their hair is growing back nicely. Belle is now spayed and up to date on her vaccines. If you would like to add big goofy Belle to your family, her adoption fee is $150 with an approved application.

More about this shelter
Our shelter is staffed by only 2 employees so we greatly depend on volunteers to help care for our animals.
We work very closely with rescue groups to help move our dogs out of the shelter quickly. Our goal is to never have to euthanize for space. We cannot do that without rescue assistance because our adoption rates are very low.
