My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola, a gentle soul rescued from a hoarding situation, is seeking a patient and loving forever home. Initially a bit shy due to her past experiences, Lola has made significant strides in her socialization journey. With a nurturing environment and gentle encouragement, Lola continues to grow more confident each day.

Coming from a hoarding situation, Lola may be cautious when first introduced to new surroundings and people. However, her innate curiosity and affectionate nature shine through once she feels safe and secure. Lola enjoys quiet moments and appreciates soft pets and soothing interactions.

For Lola, a home with a calm atmosphere and understanding caregivers would be ideal. Providing Lola with a consistent routine and gradual introductions to new experiences will help her flourish. With patience and love, Lola will undoubtedly become a devoted companion, bringing joy and warmth to her new family.

Adopting Lola means offering her the stability and love she needs to thrive and be the best furry friend anyone could ask for.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
