How this pet arrived:
Cleo was brought in by her previous owner on June 17, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Cleo, the queen of cat naps and master of hide-and-seek! This sweet little lady loves cuddling up in cozy spots, but don't let her calm demeanor fool you-she's secretly a pro athlete when it comes to chasing wand toys or anything with string. She'll zoom around the house like a furry little ninja, only to reappear when it's time for her favorite meal: wet food (she takes her dinner VERY seriously). Cleo isn't a fan of being picked up or overly smooshed with love, but she'll happily come to you when she's ready for head scratches. Cleo's only rule? She needs to be your one and only kitty-no feline competition allowed! Oh, and make sure the wet food is served promptly. All hail the queen of cozy and playtime chaos! Bring a secure cat carrier to take Cleo home today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
