My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jonas is like the energizer bunny and is always on the go! He is the sidekick you’ve been looking for! This friendly and adorable boy is only one year old. Jonas loves to follow his people around, rubbing his head on your legs and sitting on your feet when you stand still. Hope you don’t mind company; Jonas will jump right up in your lap and will show affection to anyone who comes into the house by rubbing up against their legs too. Jonas is very athletic and has the best time running around the house. He doesn’t mind if you pick him up, but he doesn’t have time to stay and cuddle on your lap - he’s got to go run and play! Speaking of playing, Jonas hasn’t met a toy he didn’t like. But, if forced to choose, he is going with string toys. The water bowl is also fun to play in! Jonas enjoys lounging in the sun, fully stretched out, belly up. Jonas is like a puppy and will often come when called and roll around on the floor, looking for attention, purring the entire time. A good eater, Jonas isn’t fussy about food, especially wet food. Jonas doesn’t like to share the spotlight, so he must be the only cat in your home. We are unsure how he is with dogs.

Jonas was living the farm life before he came to us. Volunteers went to pick up another cat on the property and discovered him living outside with his siblings. He immediately responded to pets and scratches, so knowing he was too friendly to be outside, he came to the rescue to find his forever home at last.

Jonas will be the perfect addition to a home looking for an active cat that loves to run and play. If someone is home often to play with him and give him lots of attention, that would be a definite bonus!

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
