My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet old man is owner surrender because they could not afford to treat his heartworms. Which was very preventable to begin with. Sooooo he is house broke, does well with other dogs. good on leash . medium energy, loves to hang out. Makes no waves. at all. We will pay for his heartworm treatment and cover his heartworm meds. Mr. Peanut is in need of a foster for about two months during that period. Anyone out there that can offer him the luxuries of a home life, some love and care???? Hes a happy soul and doesnt ask for much. Fostered temporarily in Bradenton. Apps found at ewenityfarmsbch.com UPDATE ON PEANUT 7/3 Peanut!!! 10 yrs senior mix of 25 pds. Housebroken crate trained leash broke. Very quiet low energy level. Snuggly loves belly rubs!! Perfect dog for an older couple who want a leisurely walking buddy, a fishin bud or just a pup
To love on. Peanut is recuperating from an URI and doing ok. He is HW positive right now we are doing slow kill. We would love to see him in a calm quiet home where he can reap the benefits of love and attention!!Surely there is someone out there that can benefit from a no frills boy that has lots of love to give!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
