My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SILAS and ARCHIE are 4 month old HIMALAYAN brothers. Silas is a Seal Lynxpoint and Archie is a Blue Lynxpoint, both having a blue eye. They are both fully vetted, which includes vaccines for rabies and distemper, microchipped, tested fiv/felv negative, dewormed, neutered, and both have their claws.

They came into SPCR with eye infections so severe, that each lost an eye, because they were past repair. But once they had surgery, they felt so much better! Their remaining eye does water but that is typical for Himalayans. I wipe them once a day and they are good to go. They have beautiful coats that get a quick comb thru everyday. Sometimes not so quick because they LOVE combing. Lol They eat hard kibble and have canned 3 times a day, with fried-dried chicken as a nightly treat.

They came in very scared and undersocialized, plus getting treated for various parasites, so they tend to run in the opposite direction when I call their name. But I think now it’s just playing because I call their name and they take off running with a big crook in the tail! Lol Archie is scared at first of new people and Silas is a little shy, but once you sit on the floor, play wand toys and get that comb out, they are big buddies! They aren’t lap sitters because frankly they get too hot, but they lay close by your side. They love pettings, scritches, nose and belly rubs. Archie doesn’t particularly like being picked up right now, but that could change as he gets older. They are both very sweet and loving boys!

They like hanging out on their cat trees, and aren’t opposed to sleeping on the fosterparent’s bed. They like wrestling each other, playing or napping on large cardboard scratcher loungers, playing/napping in crinkle tunnels, lasers, electronic butterfly toy, and chasing springs, fuzzy mice, balls, and anything else that looks interesting.

They would do best in a home with children 14 yrs or older and they have never been around dogs, but should be fine with quiet, cat friendly dogs.
