One of our favorite senior sweethearts is back, and in search of a fabulous home once again. Sierra is about 13 years old now and she came to us so long ago. She was adopted in 2018 but sadly, she's back due to her owner moving. You would think that at her age, and being out of a shelter for all these years, that Sierra would be miserable and eager to hide herself from the world but luckily, that's not at all the case. Sierra is doing everything she can to stay in good spirits and focus on her future! She's overjoyed to get some attention from new and old friends, and she's still just as sweet, mellow, loving, and affectionate as ever. Sierra lived with another cat that was also adopted from us and she'd be happy to go home with him or with any cat for that matter! She gets along great with all cats, and she even gets along with easy-going dogs too. Sierra loves people of all ages and she's just your all-around perfect cat. She hopes you'll welcome her into your life soon! Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#21092 6/9/24

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
