My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Russet is a 2-year-old quarter horse gelding. He arrived here at the rescue from Horse Plus Humane Society in Tennessee as a yearling. Since he traveled so far to reach us in NY from TN, he has had a lot of trailer riding experience.

Russet is a very kind horse that has basic fundamental training like haltering, hoof care and leading. Right now, he is 15 hands. He has a very beautiful build and is 100% sound. He is currently in a mixed herd with small ponies, donkeys, two goats and other horses and gets along well. He eats Purina Omelene 200 with free choice grass and hay.

He halters easy, leads nicely, stands well for hoof trimming, is fly sprayed daily and ties well. He is an incredible prospect for any discipline so a home that would continue working on his training would be best.
